Trivia Classic  saw Smartly Pretty’s Matt & Pat going by the name of Tech-No-Logical Ro-Mance on Monday night, and situated right where they wanted to be with a six-and-a-half-point lead on the field after the first round! In second place after one were a newer team The Revengers! They were one point ahead of The Good Folks from Laramie Cigarettes in third, and Arnis himself was one and a half points ahead of 2 Fast 2 Curious in fourth! Yes, the two-man team of 2 Fast 2 Curious on this night made up of James and Sam would need to make up some ground and at least get to second place to keep their VCR dreams alive, and they still had only a one point advantage on the reigning Golden VCR winners from 2018, the Fighting Mongooses! Outside the Top Five (top five top five) was Bunny’s Army of Doom, not as much in contention on the night as much as having the potential to add some chaos on this Finale night!

 Game Show Games  then began with Box Office Bulls-eye, and with that a search from a Box Office from last summer! Speaking of which, you can join in on our annual Summer Movie Wager on this very website! Hitting just outside of the bulls-eye for five points each were the Fighting Mongooses (going slightly higher) and 2 Fast 2 Curious (going slightly lower), who were now neck and neck with The Revengers who picked up two points, for the second place spot just behind Tech-No-Logical Ro-Mance! Grabbing the TOP TEN in Survey Says were Tech-No-Logical Ro-Mance to open the lead once again, while 2 Fast 2 Curious picked up eight points to break themselves away from the pack and into second place! With six points were The Revengers who were keeping in range of 2 Fast 2 Curious for second, as were the Fighting Mongooses who picked up four points! After a pointless Countdown Takedown for all sides, this brought us to round three!

 Tri-Pardo , our third round of Trivia Club goodness, gave Tech-No-Logical Ro-Mance the first choice of categories and they rolled seventeen points on it! 2 Fast 2 Curious followed it up by rolling a NAT TWENTY on their second attempt on the second category! Then it was The Revengers who rolled for thirteen points for the third category! This meant that FIFTY POINTS were on the line for the third round of the GCGP 2019 FINALE! Answering the second and third questions correctly but getting the first question incorrect were both The Revengers and Good Folks from Laramie Cigarettes for sixteen points a piece! The Fighting Mongooses also got the second and third questions correct but in not losing any points, ended the third round with an additional thirty-three points! Finally both 2 Fast 2 Curious and Tech-No-Logical Ro-Mance BOTH hit for the triple! This kept Smartly Pretty’s duo in the lead on the night, but kept 2 Fast 2 Curious within range for the tie-breaker victory for the Grand Championship of Trivia Club… with one final question to be asked.

 Trivia Finale  category choice went to the reigning Grand Champs the Fighting Mongooses, and after that was locked in the wagers soon followed! The Good Folks from Laramie Cigarettes went all in, as did Tech-No-Logical Ro-Mance, while 2 Fast 2 Curious left four and a half on the board, Fighting Mongooses left two on the board, and The Revengers held the most back by only wagering eight! Ultimately, only the Good Folks from Laramie Cigarettes would fall however!

This meant that finishing in fifth on the night would be The Good Folks from Laramie Cigarettes, while The Revengers would still be able to pick up fourth place! In third were the Fighting Mongooses, just as they would be for the Grand Championship Grand Prix for the year! Runners-up on the night, exactly what they needed to do to hold on to their GCGP lead gained twelve days ago at Farside… 2 Fast 2 Curious who also finished with their second Sesquicentennial Mark at Hitch in their two appearances! That runner-up spot, that 164.5 points, that meant…

Now ELEVEN-TIME GOLDEN VHS CHAMPS, and repeat winners at Hitch, with their fifth victory in six GCGP events in 2019, Smartly Pretty’s TECH-NO-LOGICAL RO-MANCE! They also finished with 181 points on the night, adding to their already formative run as a duo within Trivia Club, truly continuing the dominant legacy of The Electric Mayhem, The Bastards, The Electric Bastards before them! If 2 Fast 2 Curious hadn’t been equally as consistent throughout April, or if Paul Newman had been in Cars 2, the Grand Prix result may have matched the win share of April!
