 It was Trivia Club night in Toronto once again, this past Monday! We returned to Our Home Away of Hitch, and brought together a wonderful group of adventures ready to get into the zone! The Adventure Zone? Oh, we would be so lucky! Not one, but three returning Golden VHS Champs returned to see if they could take home another trophy, as well!

 Trivia Classic  saw the Fighting Mongooses swing for the fences in the first round and connect with a strong finish to the nights first half, leading the field by nine and a half points. In second place were Jacobite My Fanny, featuring the return of Leg Lamp of Red Rider + Leg Lamp our second last Champs at Hitch for 2017, but this time supported by the power of quality family times! They had a one point lead on Wookiee of the Year! Two points behind our bar team were one half of the Adventure Club, Quizteama Aguilera and the Quizzards of Oz who had a three and a half point lead on their table mates Risky Quizness, giving them an early lead in this civil war!

Our second round of  Game Show Games  then saw Risky Quizness grab the TOP TEN in Countdown Takedown, while Wookiee of the Year were the only team left pointless in the game. Survey Says then saw Jacobite My Fanny nab the TOP TEN in the second game of the second round, while Wookiee of the Year bounced back with eight points, while Quizteama grabbed six points! Finally, with the field gaining ground on the Fighting Mongooses, it was the lead team that took a few big swings in Combo Breakdown to remain as the last team standing for TWELVE POINTS!

This meant that those Fighting Mongooses had regained their strong lead for  Tri-Pardo , and in our third round we saw the Quizzards of Oz pick the first question for four points, while Wookiee of the Year picked the second question and made it fifteen points, while finally Risky Quizness rolled for nineteen points on their third question choice! This meant that thirty-eight points were up for grabs, with half of those points in one question! Grabbing eleven points with a correct second question, but incorrect first question were both the Fighting Mongooses and Jacobite My Fanny! The Mongooses remained in first, while Jacobite slipped into fourth, because Risky Quizness got the third question correct for nineteen points, and Wookiee of the Year gained nineteen points off a correct first and second questions! Losing nineteen points and slipping into fifth place were Quizteama and the Quizzards!

This meant heading into the  Trivia Finale , anything was possible! The Fighting Mongooses made this possibility even more so with a wager that opened the door for Wookiee of the Year, Risky Quizness, and Jacobite My Fanny to slip past them, especially when Risky Quizness wagered only twenty points! It all came down to who could hold onto the lead with that last question...

Finishing as runners-up were Risky Quizness, and winning the Golden VHS on the night, their EIGHTH GOLDEN VHS CHAMPIONSHIP, and with 112 points also notching the highest score at Hitch for the month of March, WOOKIEE OF THE YEAR! Yes, surprising even themselves, they had held on for the win!

Congrats to Wookiee of the Year, and thank you to EVERYONE who came out and made it such a fun night at Our Home Away at Hitch, our second consecutive night on the east end after Sean's 30th Birthday the night before (gooood times, and also remember you too can have Trivia Club at your private event!)! We'll see you again in TWO WEEKS, as we'll be taking off April 2nd for the 33rd edition of Russelmania, and RETURN TO HITCH on APRIL 9th as we jump into the SIXTH ANNUAL GRAND CHAMPIONSHIP GRAND PRIX celebrating another year of Trivia Club in Toronto, as we compete for the Golden VCR!
