With our returning to the limited edition location, our long-running Black Label home of HitchLimited, in all of its refurbished and surprisingly bright glory, we had our reoccurring favorites joined by a group of newcomers! Who would walk away with the Golden VHS? Would we even see a repeat? March on to the recap of the 143rd edition of Trivia Club at Queen & Leslie!

Trivia Classic  came to a close with the Fighting Mongooses in the lead, with an eight point advantage on their nearest competition The Sinking Ship (with added assistance from Wookiee’s Neil!), who themselves had a point and a half lead on The Good Slopes for Laramie Cigarettes (cause Arnis enjoyed some skiing this past month)! Leading the new school were a relatively new team, having taken part in Trivia Club a few weeks prior, Hot Cheese in fourth place! Hot Cheese had two and a half points on Nick & Isabella, who themselves had three and a half points on our final team of the evening, Doing Our Best!!

Game Show Games  began with Box Office Bullseye, and saw Hot Cheese hit the rare BULLSEYE for the TOP TEN! Gaining five points each were the Fighting Mongooses and The Sinking Ship, while The Good Slopes for Laramie still nabbed two points for a more productive then usual BOB! Survey Says then saw Nick & Isabella grab the TOP TEN, while Doing Our Best!! took eight points, the Fighting Mongooses six points, The Sinking Ship four points, and The Good Slopes two points on the first guess of the game! Finally with Countdown Takedown it was game theory that helped the Fighting Mongooses grab the TOP TEN over The Sinking Ship who won eight points, while The Good Slopes for Laramie who still picked up six!

Tri-Pardo  then saw Doing Our Best!! roll seventeen points on the first category, Hot Cheese roll nineteen points on the second category, and The Sinking Ship roll eleven points on the third category for an ample forty-seven points on the line! Both Hot Cheese and The Sinking Ship however lost seventeen points, however in gaining eleven from the third question they only walked away from the third round with a net minus six! The Good Slopes gained seventeen points from the first question, and the Fighting Mongooses gained eleven from the third question! This left the Fighting Mongooses with the advantage they had held since the end of the first round’s Royale but if any team had a chance to defeat their long-time friendly rival (who had only recently surpassed them in Hitch victories) it was Laramie Cigarettes!

When the dust settled on the  Trivia Finale  it was The Good Slopes for Laramie Cigarettes in the runner-up spot on the night with ninety-five points, while the FIGHTING MONGOOSES had won their EIGHTEENTH GOLDEN VHS and sixteenth at Hitch, finishing the night with one-hundred and twenty-six points! This brings them within four and a half points from crossing 3,000 points at Hitch, which will make them just the fourth team to do so!
