First off, thank you very much to Matthew S. of The Ignorant Sluts
for breaking down the points for this episode! Seth Myers proved both an able
host and also showed that all he needed was twelve seasons on the show, and
then a few years down the hall, to be a more assured presence in sketches.
Still it’s weird to see him not only doing a stand-up monologue at the top of
the show, after all that time pointedly planted behind the Late Night desk, not
to mention seeing him wear anything other then a suit and tie. Though he’s the
third best host of the season so far, that’s only because it has been a strong
start to SNL44! Oh, and before we segway into our upcoming host who will no
doubt need some patience to enjoy (though your mileage may vary… following up a
sketch all about “Trees” with a sketch featuring “Treece” was meant to be
purposefully confusing, yeah?
Jonah Hill (ugh, that guy…) will be the host (for the fourth time)
for the fourth episode of the 44th season, with musical guest Maggie
Rogers! You know, of the charming song “Alaska” that Pharrell (and all of us,
but especially Pharrell) really liked! Matthew S. and The Ignorant Sluts
drafted Hill as host and is set to challenge Kevin M. and The Not Ready For
First Place Players for that tightly held top spot! As long as neither team
sees their entire team eclipsed in points by Kenan Thompson, as happened with
Billion Dollar Murrays this week! Thank you again Matthew for the points
breakdown! Megan M. will be breaking down the points on November 3rd!
