J anuary saw the last monthly edition of Trivia Club in our newest home, Farside, before Trivia Club became a TWICE MONTHLY affair! It brought forward some familiar faces, and returning Champions to our young run in East Chinatown, as well as a whole lot of new teams as well! The Golden VHS would prove that it was certainly still the season, for a certain team, as well!

 Trivia Classic  saw our inaugural Champions at Farside, Trevor Tyres lead the field after the first round. Just half a point behind however was the returning Chinatown East Champs in The Good Folks from Laramie Cigarettes! Newcomers Vote Quimby! were three points behind in third, while three and a half points back from them were JackHammer, as well as Trivia Newton John, tied for fourth. Pork Chop Sandwiches, who chose the Box Office Bullseye, rounded out the extended Top Six (top six, top six)! Cheetas, Fashion Police, and Who Is… Gary Larson? rounded out the field!

Round two our  Game Show Games  then began with a tough Countdown Takedown, which saw every team go over… including Pork Chop Sandwiches, who proved to be over by just one! Survey Says would prove a different story however, as it took all nine teams to guess, but the field ran the board. The Good Folks from Laramie Cigarettes would get the first TOP TEN for 2018 at Farside! Cheetas picked up eight points, Pork Chop Sandwiches picked up six, Gary Larson got four points, and Trivia Newton John won two points! Trivia Newton John would then outlast the field on a wild Combo Breakdown, which saw teams flip too far with their sweet tricks, giving the duo a full FIFTEEN POINTS!

Though this now put Trivia Newton John in second place heading into the third round of  Tri-Pardo , it was still anyone's game. Specifically The Good Folks from Laramie Cigarettes! Though the field was not far behind. Trevor Tyres rolled for sixteen points on the first question, while Who Is… Gary Larson? rolled for twelve on the second question, and the Fashion Police hit up the third question for eighteen points! Yes this put a total of forty-six points on the line in round three! Gaining thirty points on the second and third questions, and creating a top three before the Finale, were JackHammer, Trevor Tyres, and the Good Folks from Laramie Cigarettes!

Heading into the  Finale  question, wagering became even more important, with The Good Folks leaving five on the board, while Trevor Tyres went all in! JackHammer wagered forty points, while Trivia Newton John and Cheetas, who were tied before the last questions saw a split in their eventual fates when Cheetas left half a point for themselves. Then with the question, it would prove an easier cap to the night, with Trivia Newton John passing Cheetas by half a point, when both teams got the answer correct! JackHammer would finish third on the night, grabbing a Ring Pop! In the runner-up spot would be Trevor Tyres with 131 points…

The GOLDEN VHS CHAMPS on the night, with their fourth VHS in the last five events across December and January on the east end, yes Hitch AND Farside, making this the Winter of Laramie… THE GOOD FOLKS FROM LARAMIE CIGARETTES!
