 I t was a night of rowdy fun at the Home Away of Trivia Club, with our latest Limited Edition of Hitch's bi-weekly game show goodness bringing the room together to test returning teams and new faces alike, with the Golden VHS going to the night's Champion... and everyone making sure that they kept it 100!

Trivia Classic saw a first round with a close field, that was led by newcomers in Perfect Strangers at the corner of the bar! Only two points behind them however were the returning Golden VHS winners from two weeks ago, Quiztin Tarantino, now known as Trivia Bonhem Carter! TBC had a one point lead of their own on another pair of newcomers, the wonderfully named Second Breakfast Club! Two points behind them... were the returning Good Folks from Laramie Cigarettes! The house team of Hitch was himself two points ahead of Distasteful!, a group of combative individuals ready for some trivia... and no doubt in competition against Almost Hitched and the new regular at our east-end Trivia Club night, Lt. Dance, who rounded out the field!

Game Show Games began with Countdown Takedown and saw a very rare tie-up, as the Good Folks from Laramie Cigarettes AND Distasteful! grabbed a FULL FIFTEEN points, while Lt. Dance grabbed six points, and the Perfect Strangers and Almost Hitched each grabbed four points! In Survey Says, Second Breakfast Club jumped on the board with the TOP TEN, while Lt. Dance grabbed another eight points, and the Perfect Strangers and Distasteful! grabbed another six and four points respectively! Trivia Bonhem Carter would NOT be shut out of the second round however, as they held out against the field and were left as the last team standing for FIFTEEN POINTS!

This led to a Tri-Pardo of wild proportions, as the first question was worth twelve points, the second question was worth nineteen points, and the third question was worth eighteen points for a sooolid forty-nine points up for grabs in total! Reaching that total would be three teams, Second Breakfast Club, Trivia Bonhem Carter, and Distasteful! This would bring the teams up to 81, 84, and 85 points respectively, not only raising them against the other teams but leaving a VERY SMALL margin of error for each team! Perfect Strangers after an excellent debut at Hitch would lose one point in the third round, while the Good Folks from Laramie Cigarettes would get the first question incorrect, but correctly answer the next two for an additional twenty-five points!

This meant heading into the Finale, three teams were the heavy favorites, but it could go to any one of the five teams! Trivia Bonhem Carter and Distasteful!, with one point between them, went ALL IN! Second Breakfast Club went in the other direction and wagered only five points! The Perfect Strangers went with slightly more then half of their points on the wager... while the Good Folks from Laramie Cigarettes aimed squarely at finishing with 100 points if they were able to answer the Finale correctly.

It was less a wager for victory, for Arnis of Laramie, and more a tribute to his grandmother... who would have turned 100 years old on the day!

Yes, the Finale tripped up the three teams ahead of him, while the Good Folks from Laramie Cigarettes were able to answer the final question correctly... giving THE GOOD FOLKS FROM LARAMIE CIGARETTES their EIGHTH Golden VHS!
