PROBLEMATIC: I can
appreciate an homage to Rowdy Roddy Piper as much, if not more, then the next
guy… and I am admittedly biased in the opinion of Bobby Moynihan, but COME ON
MAN if you’re going to be a wrestler you have reoccurring Trashyard Mutt points
right there!
QUALITY: John Cena
is a charismatic personality who works well as a host. Of course his massive
physical frame only allows him to play alpha males and athletes, in varying
degrees of shirtlessness, but the show was still able to do some impressive
plays on the theme. The Karate Teen was likely the most successful sketch, with
The Scorched Corset also bringing a wonderfully weird spin on the theme.

After two episodes that were above average (for the season so far, at least) points-wise, this John Cena episode normalized things points wise. It also gave teams a Musical Guest with a more predictable pair of songs to choose (again, from the sample size), though the Musical Guest also proved to be the least popular so far this season! Ultimately only one two teams had any movement within their Group ranking, and that was the chase for the Golden Rocket Man in the Charles Rock Group, that saw El Nino take first place (two episodes after being in fourth)!
This upcoming Saturday is the final episode of 2016, the annual holiday spectacular hosted by Ben Affleck's little brother! Which would seem insulting for an inevitable award-winning actor but Casey Affleck seems like suuuuch a little brother. He is joined by the always amazing Chance The Rapper, who I as a Canadian shouldn't admit is likely the best rapper in the world right now (non-Kendrick division)!
And I just realized something... if Mikey Day and Casey Affleck don't do at least two "twin" sketches, then I'll be very dissapointed! Oh, and fun story, I--
