Things don't come easy, especially when the competition is, as close as it was on Tuesday night. Even when things looked out of reach, their were those classic Trivia Club twists that revealed the unexpected winners by the end of the night! The Cunning Stunts found it's most succesful spin-off, after all these years, in the equally clever Vart Smaginas! The Bastards returned in less then four weeks since their last night out! Sharkeisha, Yes! (better known as Lt. Dance) also returned, having moved out of the neighborhood but unable to quit the rivals it knows all too well! We were also joined by new teams, making for quite the return to Lou Dawg's after a week away!

Trivia Classic proved how close the margin of competition was at Lou Dawg's between our long-standing teams nearest Ryerson, with less then four points separating the top four teams and LESS THEN one point separating the top THREE teams! Yes, amazingly the Cunning Stunts kept their impressive summer of Trivia Classics going, with a half point lead on the field, for the prize! The Bastards and Vart Smaginas were tied, directly behind them, with 33 points! Just three points behind the winningest team at Lou Dawg's, and the Cunning Stunts other half, were Sharkeisha, Yes! with 30 points! Rounding out the field were The Mel Brooks Superfans!

Mel Brooks did not stick around for more then one Game Show Game in the second round, but Team Starfish arrived to take their place with vigor! The Cunning Stunts game theorized their way to the TOP TEN in Countdown Takedown, with the Vart Smaginas' picking up eight points! Survey Says flipped things Sharkeisha, Yes! grabbing the TOP TEN, while Vart Smaginas once again picked up eight points for their troubles! The Cunning Stunts also picked up points, as did The Bastards! C-C-Combo Breakdown then saw The Bastards immediately fall away, while Team Starfish finally broken onto the board with a point! Sharkeisha, Yes! grabbed two points, as did the Vart Smaginas, and wouldn't you know it, the Cunning Stunts picked up FIFTEEN POINTS as the last team standing to break open a razor thin round one, with a commanding round two!

Round three saw ALL of our all-time teams at Lou Dawg's, and our new comers as well swing for the fences! Vart Smaginas picked up fifteen points, while Sharkeisha, Yes! grabbed twenty-five points, and the Cunning Stunts picked up thirty-five! The Bastards grabbed forty-five points, as did Team Starfish for a trio of correct answers and momentum rounding into the Trivia Finale! And ooooh, was it a tricky Finale! Vart Smaginas were clever enough to leave six points on the board, while The Bastards left sixty-one points behind to hedge their bets! Everyone else? They went all in! And what could be said, but it was an unpredictable Finale!

When the dust settled, it was not the Stunts but the Smaginas who were the team atop the standings! Yes, beating the the Cunning Stunts, Bastards, and Lt. Dance were the spin-off of Trivia Club's winningest team and now FIRST-TIME GOLDEN VHS CHAMPS... the VART SMAGINAS! It couldn't have happened to a funner team name to say aloud. Well, it's between them and William Shatner Face.

Congrats to Vart Smaginas, and to the wonderful folks who came out and competed on Tuesday! Walking the plank up to Lou Dawg's until the sidewalks become something better on Gerrard St! We'll see you all again NEXT TUESDAY, as we countdown to Lou Dawg's 125th event!
