October 10, 2019For the NINETY-NINTH edition of Trivia Club at The Rec Room Roundhouse in TORONTO with host and Trivia Club creator Russel Harder (right), Cookiefaced were able to retain their Championship spot with their TENTH GOLDEN VHS victory for 171 points, the fifth highest score all-time at The Rec Room, making them just the second team to join the TEN TIMERS CLUB at The Rec Room! Runners-up on the night with the third highest score Canada-wide were We will, we will, REC you! who scored 146 points on the night, and with 144 points on the night in third place in Toronto and with the fourth highest score Canada-wide, were The Questionables (our other ten-time plus Champs at The Rec Room)! At the third event at The Rec Room Avalon in ST. JOHN'S with host Russell Cochrane (bottom right), some game trivia teams once again came out to play in Newfoundland and Labrador! Drunk Quiztory won the night with 158 points, good for the second highest score of the week Canada-wide at The Rec Room... and becoming the first team ANYWHERE outside of Toronto to cross the Sesquicentennial Mark! John Triviolta finished runner-up on the night with 124 points, two points ahead of Antonio's Revenge, but also with the fifth highest score in Canada!
It was the fifty-fourth event at LONDON ’s Masonville location, hosted by Justin Gayle (center), we had another cloooose finish, and wouldn't you know it a new team would put their name on the Championship prize once again as Drew Peacock scored 78 points on the night to win against recent Annual Championship runners-up and runners-up on this night with 76 points, Trifecta's!
For the twentieth event at the West Edmonton Mall, The Pickles also scored 78 points for the victory in EDMONTON hosted by CTV's Graham Neil (not pictured)! Runners-up on the night, E=MC squared would score 52 points for the runner-up spot in our giant mall location!
For the twentieth event at the South Commons in EDMONTON hosted by Ed Childs (not pictured), Operation Smoke Show returned under the new name of El Blanca Diabla ft. the Whiz, and repeated as Champs with 37 points to finish the night! They narrowly edged out runners-up in south Edmonton, Wolfpack who finished the night with 32 points!
