ANNOTATIONS for the JULY 2019 SCOREBOARD

• After a few months off the Monthly Scoreboard, not only were 2018’s most familiar team making their second consecutive appearance but the Fighting Mongooses also had the highest score of July 2019, with 208 points at Hitch on July 22nd! Not only is this the highest score for Hitch on the month, but the second highest of the year so far, and it gives the Fighting Mongooses two of the top five highest scores of 2019 up to this point, a feat only matched by Smartly Pretty!
• The Good Folks from Laramie Cigarettes had the second highest score of July 2019, while also making their second consecutive appearance on the Scoreboard, and also nabbed the distinction for the month of the highest score by a team that did not win the Golden VHS, as their 176.5 points were blocked from the victory by those Fighting Mongooses on July 22nd!
• 2 Fast 2 Curious gained the highest score at Farside for July 2019 with 161 points at the Friendly Neighborhood location on July 3rd! With those big points as well, the reigning Grand Champions now also hold ten of the Top Twenty Highest Scores of 2019 so far! It’s been a good year for Farside’s most consistent team!
• Speaking of consistency, 2 Fast 2 Curious have now not only been only all seven Monthly Scoreboards for 2019 but are have now also been featured for an ENTIRE YEAR, yes twelve consecutive appearances across The Ace, Farside, and Hitch high scores!
• Making their third consecutive appearance on the Monthly Scoreboards are The Questionables, with the tenth highest score of July 2019 with 108 points on July 23rd!
• The highest score of July 2019 at The Rec Room however belongs to Cookiefaced, who joined the Five Timers Club on July 30th, our last Trivia Club of the month, with a 151 point total that won The Roundhouse regulars the night!
• The second highest score of the month at The Rec Room, and fifth highest overall, belongs to The Bastards ft. PETE! With 144 points at The Roundhouse on July 16th, this is the first Scoreboard appearance since November 2017 for The Bastards and first Scoreboard since July 2016 to explicitly feature PETE! This special occasion of an all-time team of Trivia Club returning, being PETE!’s unofficial farewell event, and we hope to see PETE! again soon!
• Team Name, one of only three teams to make more then 150 appearances at Trivia Club, won the 150th edition of Trivia Club at Hitch with 141 points on July 8th, good for the sixth highest score of the month, which is also their first appearance since May of this year.
• By Wook or By Crook scored 128 points on July 22nd at Hitch to be the only third place team on this month’s Scoreboard, and also see Wookiee of the Year return to the Scoreboard for the first time since November 2018!
• The Rec Room saw TWO teams from outside of Toronto making the Top Ten, or more specifically the Top Eleven for the second consecutive month, with Kaos scoring 110 points at The Rec Room Square One in Mississauga on July 23rd to notch a new all-time best at the location! On July 9th at The Rec Room South Edmonton Commons, Popcorn People scored a new location best with 108 points!
• In total The Rec Room saw teams participating across all of their locations in five spots on this Monthly Scoreboard, while Hitch saw four teams, and Farside had two teams.
• Outside of the Top Ten Scoreboard were Dairy-Based Projectiles with the highest score at The Rec Room Masonville in London, with 81 points on July 23rd, while Dan & Mel notched the current all-time high score at The Rec Room West Edmonton Mall with 58 points a week prior on July 16th.
• The highest score by a team outside of the Monthly Scoreboard, on this month the twelfth highest score of July 2019, belongs to Cookiefaced who scored 96 points on July 23rd!
• The Mean Team, or the team with a high score on the board which is the closest to the Scoreboard Average of 142 points, are Team Name who scored 141 points on July 8th!
