at The Rec Room Canada: October 1st 2019 TOP FIVE
October 03, 2019
Welcome one and all to a recap of Trivia Club at THE REC ROOM across Canada! We’re celebrating the CHAMPIONS and the TOP SCORES at The Rec Room locations in Alberta, Newfoundland and Labrador, and Ontario, looking at how they did on the night, and how they stack up against each other! Last week on September 24th Trifectas at Masonville in London had the Canada-wide high score at Trivia Club and tied London's all-time high score, while Dairy-Based Projectiles held on to win Masonville's first annual Royale Championship prize! The TOP FIVE SCORES for Trivia Club at The Rec Room on October 1st, 2019 breakdown as follows:
With the sophomore event at The Rec Room Avalon in ST. JOHN'S with the wonderfully named host Russell Cochrane (not pictured), it proved not only two for two with an appearance for a St. John's team on the Top Five of the week but the first time a team from Newfoundland and Labrador would top the five with the highest score in Canada! Trebekasaurus Rex gained 139 points on Tuesday, after a strong Tri-Pardo, to stay ahead of runner-up on the night Team Sportsball who finished with 80 points!
Returning after a week today, to Trivia Club at The Rec Room Roundhouse in TORONTO with host and Trivia Club creator Russel Harder (right), Cookiefaced grabbed the top score at The Roundhouse and second highest score in Canada with 128 points on the night for their NINTH CHAMPIONSHIP overall! Finishing as runners-up on the night with 96 points were Big Fact Hunt! CLICK HERE FOR A FULL RECAP OF THE NIGHT!
It was a field of ten teams at MISSISSAUGA ’s Square One location of The Rec Room, hosted by "MrGameShow" Christopher Colbourne (left) alongside his co-host (and photographer) Betty Buttons! For this, our nineteenth event in Mississauga we would see the third, fourth, and fifth highest scores in Canada, from the top three teams in this competitive field! Hot Salad would win the night with 126 points, while runners-up Walt Quizney would see the returning team score 112 points, and another returning team Tequila Mockingbird would round out the night with 100 points!
For the twentieth event at the South Commons in EDMONTON hosted by Ed Childs (not pictured), Operation Smoke Show would score the eighth highest score in Canada, 87 points, to win the night with the highest score in Alberta! Runners-up in South Edmonton would be Wendy's Warriors with 40 points!
For the nineteenth event at the West Edmonton Mall, Team Chef scored 65 points for the victory in EDMONTON hosted by CTV's Graham Neil (not pictured)! Runners-up on the night, No Names would finish the night with 52 points, squeaking past the Morning Team who finished with 51 points!
It was the fifty-third event at LONDON ’s Masonville location hosted by Justin Gayle (center right), and the first event of the second year of Trivia Club goodness in London, Ontario! With that start to a new "season" of trivia, brought a dramatic finish! Three and a half points separated the top four teams on the night, with the top two teams finishing the night in a tie! This meant that with 43 points a piece, newcomers Zach's Peasants would go head-to-head on a Box Office Tie-Breaker with just crowned first annual Champs in London, Dairy-Based Projectiles (who had won their first full night of trivia on a tie-breaker)! When the dust settled, Zach's Peasants had won their FIRST EVENT!
Congratulations to all those who won the week at Trivia Club at The Rec Room this past Tuesday, and thank you to everyone who came out to play! Join in NEXT TUESDAY on October 1st at The Rec Room for more Trivia Club in Edmonton, London, Mississauga, St. John's, and Toronto! If you don't see your teams high score in this list, remind your host to submit those scores.
