Saturday Night Live Fantasy League: Episode 44x11: James McAvoy & Meek Mill
January 29, 2019
Saturday Night Live Fantasy League presented by Trivia Club, is a Fantasy League like no other. Like Fantasy Football for the comedy nerd, participants draft cast members and prospective hosts before the start of the season and then are awarded points based of their performance through a scoring system. For additional points, before the start of each episode participants can guess which two songs they think the musical guest will perform. Since the beginning, this television institution has become the first step in the major leagues of comedy stardom, and with over forty seasons of familiar traditions, we’ve found a way to add maths to comedy and somehow make that a fun game to play.

Thank you to Megan M. for breaking down the points on this episode!
We’ve caught back up to Saturday Night Live, in time for a few more consecutive
episodes, so keep an eye on Fantasy League point breakdowns! Now that the season
has reached the half-way point it is certainly an interesting race atop The
Chase for the Hartman Trophy! The Billion Dollar Murrays still lead, but that
lead has fallen away in these last two weeks to the point where our returning
Champs led by Rob M., Hunter the Hungry’s Gotta Eat, is now within just
thirty-three points!
James McAvoy proved an incredibly Scottish host in all the best
ways! The next two episodes have also been announced, and after a good run of
correct picks we were in fact stumped! On February 9th, Halsey it
seems gets the A Star Is Born spot, cause sure why not, as both the Musical
Guest and Host! Having not even remembered hearing Halsey speak… I am very interested
in seeing her as part of the show! Don Cheadle will also be hosting! It’s not
the House of Lies alumni that we expected but I don’t hate it! Gary Clark Jr.
will be his Musical Guest on February 16th!
LAST EPISODE: RACHEL BROSNAHAN
NEXT EPISODE: HALSEY
