It was the TENTH edition of Trivia Club at The Ace, and to join us on this anniversary night, with the 50th anniversary edition of The Wizard of Oz GOLDEN VHS up for grabs, were not only notable teams from The Ace and Roncesvalles, but also newcomers and hopeful winners all around! It was a memorable night in the 'hood, and not just because the century old heritage tree just down the street had fallen to old age, shutting down the street in the process! With the full moon rounding into view, it was time to close out July at our lo-fi late night location! Let the games begin!

 Trivia Classic  had a tie close out the first round! Yes, it was The Simple Minds looking to win two in a month for the first time at The Ace, all tied up with Pizza's Day, otherwise known as Krang's Abs or Mouse Head, a birthday party edition of the returning Chillasaurus folks! Newcomers Beeneeta were in third, while the Cochinos family were in fourth, and rounding out the field at our ol' Roncy home were neighbourhood competitors Trivial Knowledge!

 Game Show Games  saw Cochinos grab the TOP TEN in Countdown Takedown, with Trivial Knowledge gaining eight points, and Pizza's Day grabbing six points! Then in Survey Says it was The Simple Minds regaining ground with the TOP TEN, while Pizza's Day grabbed eight points and regained the lead in the process! Finally in Combo Breakdown it was a wild back and forth that saw Beeneeta outlast Pizza's Day for the POINTS... but instead of holding on to the Combo won, they looked to double up, but broke down in the process and walked away with TWO POINTS for their troubles as the last team standing, losing a chance at the lead heading into round three!

 Tri-Pardo  then had Pizza's Day roll for their birthday, with a fourteen point roll on the first question, while The Simple Minds rolled a TWENTY for the second question, and finally Cochinos notched seventeen points for the third question! Yes, this meant that FIFTY-ONE points were on the line! It proved a dangerous Tri-Pardo for the anniversary night, and The Simple Minds were one of the hardest hit, losing thirty-four of their thirty-six points! Losing thirty-seven points were Beeneeta! Cochinos got the first question correct, but lost points on the second and third questions! Trivial Knowledge also got the first question correct, and took the least damage of any team in round three, only going for the third question as well, though still losing points on that as a result!

When the dust settled, for the  Finale , it was a different picture then usual! All teams save for Trivial Knowledge had the chance to wager more points then they had... and Pizza's Day still kept four points on the board and ended up finishing the night as runners-up, while everyone else went all-in or more! TRIVIAL KNOWLEDGE could not be caught after a chaotic round three however, and after three years and seventy-two days, the duo would also win their FIFTH GOLDEN VHS!

 ACHIEVEMENT UNLOCKED:  FIVE TIMERS CLUB!

Congrats to Trivial Knowledge, who not only joined the Five Timers Club in the same month as The Simple Minds did just two weeks before, but in a bit of extra serendipity Trivial Knowledge were the tenth Golden VHS Champs at The Ace while also being the tenth last Golden VHS Champs at our Original Home, and original Roncy location, Cardinal Rule!
