Together, these two host picks have shifted the momentum of most every group in our Saturday Night Live Fantasy League. Everyone who hasn't picked them, are now forced to play catch-up. On top of that, with Donald Trump revealing the dirt worst in American political discourse, we've also been treated to Alec Baldwin putting in a tour de force performance, which has gifted several teams with an additional 200+ points and counting!
And just to reward us all, for making it through the last 15 months of bullshit, etc., is... and let me catch my breath, because I'm still not convinced this is real, even after the hand-written name cards on the cork board... and the title card on Saturday night...
HOLY SHIT, DAVE CHAPPELLE IS HOSTING SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE NEXT WEEK!
Of course I fell in love with The Chappelle Show, and like all of you, I owned the first two seasons and the third almost season on DVD. It might be the last true gasp of the DVD, before we even knew it, and it made Dave Chappelle a multi-millionaire... who rightfully didn't want to deal with... everything?
It's insane on a career level that Dave Chappelle is hosting SNL, when I still distinctly remember a time when I knew him to be fully and unequivocally retired. Do not cross go. It's even more insane on a style level that the man responsible for... well... let's start with Clayton Bigsby (like Chappelle did), will be doing sketch comedy again on Saturday Night Live. What will that even look like? All the reasons we need to make it through to November 12th, America, AND with musical guests A TRIBE CALLED QUEST!
