It was another intimate night of Trivia Club at our Original Home of Cardinal Rule, with the Unusual Suspects heading west in a return against Last Place Team and Trivial Knowledge! The last time the Unusual Suspects took part in Trivia Club was the first win for Last Place Team! Likewise, in twenty-five appearances, Trivia Knowledge had never won a Golden VHS... but that's not to say that the Unusual Suspects aren't won of the winningest teams in the history of Cardinal Rule! With anything possible, let's get into the tale of the tape!

After Trivia Classic, it was the Unusual Suspects in the lead for the Golden VHS of Highlander! Yes, there can be only one and the Unusual Suspects had the lead on Trivial Knowledge, who had a two point lead of their own over Last Place Team! Yes, surprisingly this was only the second time that the Last Place Team had actually finished last in the first round standings! Thus is the danger of a tight-knit field!

To start off the second round of Game Show Games, however, it was the Unusual Suspects with a TOP TEN in Countdown Takedown! They used some game theory to take two from Last Place Team who still grabbed eight points! Trivial Knowledge were by far the CLOSEST team in wagering but went OVER the Countdown! Luckily T.K. would grab the TOP TEN in Survey Says, while Last Place Team nabbed another eight, and the Unusual Suspects were left with four points for their efforts! Just when the competition was chipping away at the lead of the Suspects, Last Place Team fell with one point for their troubles, while Trivial Knowledge was the next to tumble with two points! The Unusual Suspects were the last team standing, adding another point to the Combo to the tune of TEN POINTS in the end!

Tri-Pardo only added to the drama, as the Unusual Suspects refused to let up with potential history to be made! They added thirty-five points in the third round, bringing their total to 106 points! Last Place Team added another twenty-five points, while Trivial Knowledge lost fifteen points which left them with less then half the points of Last Place Team! Heading into the Finale however, Trivial Knowledge knew they had to go all in and wagered accordingly! Last Place Team went less then half in, leaving forty points on the table, while the Unusual Suspects decided not to go for 200 but instead leave forty points on the table as well... which would still give them a chance to set a NEW personal best, a team high score that was set on their very first night of Trivia Club competition!

This would not be a personal best kind of night for the Unusual Suspects, however, as they slipped to third place after the Finale! With both Trivial Knowledge AND Last Place Team getting the last question correctly.... Trivial Knowledge would have to be content with their fourth runner-up finish of 2016 while, beating the Unusual Suspects on the Suspects' second appearance in a row, LAST PLACE TEAM picked up their THIRD GOLDEN VHS!
