At Hitch, it was a night that the Trusty Rumpets could have gone three-in-a-row on... but instead it was a passing of the torch of sorts to the team that joined the Rumpets two weeks ago to set a new high-score mark at our east end location! It wasn't easy however, because with Trivia Club it rarely is that straight forward. For a FULL RECAP, look in the comments below for a link to triviaclub.ca!

Trivia Classic ended with the Good Wookies from Laramie Cigarettes, yes a now semi-permanent team-up of the Wookies of the Year and Laramie Cigarettes, in first place with a two point lead over their nearest competition Tiny Tim's Tremendously Turgid Temporary Tattoo-Covered Titanic Trembling Trombone-Touting Truncheons in Tiaras! The Hotboyzzzz chapter of the M. Night Shaym-Aliens were in third, while the solo Air Force One Air Furious One rounded out the Classic field!

Game Show Games saw a twist in momentum on the night, when all teams went over in the Countdown Takedown save for Tiny Tim's... who got the answer spot on for FIFTEEN POINTS! This then saw the Good Wookies from Laramie Cigarettes grab the TOP TEN in Survey Says, while the Hotboyzzzz grabbed eight, and Tiny Tim's nabbed four points and held on to first place! That is, until Combo Breakdown in it's new shape which saw Tiny Tim's... drop out first but still pick up one point, while the Hotboyzzz grabbed two points, and the Good Wookies not only were the last team standing, but they added additional answers to the tune of SEVENTEEN POINTS!

As we shifted into Tri-Pardo, the Good Wookies had the lead but it was still anyones night! Especially once the Hotboyzzzz cleared the Tri-Pardo to the tune of forty-five points! Yes, the Good Wookies did as well, to bring them up to 107 points before the Finale, becoming the third straight team with a shot at 200 or more, since Tiny Tim's knocked on the door a month prior! But yes, the Hotboyzzz weren't far behind, and surprisingly it was Tiny Tim's... who had slipped down to third, after an exciting to start to the Game Show Game round! Interestingly enough, however, the Good Wookies from Laramie Cigarettes decided not to go for the all-time record at Hitch and instead wagered cagely enough to leave points on the board if they got the Finale wrong... while still leaving the door open for their competition if: a) everyone got it right and wagered heavier, or b) everyone got it wrong and wagered safer! Tiny Tim's... and the Hotboyzzz wanted to lean in, however, and in not leaving all that much on the board respectively, left the door open for a safe wagered win for the Good Wookies!

Wouldn't you know it, the safe wagered win was what they got leaving the GOOD WOOKIES FROM LARAMIE CIGARETTES as THREE-TIME GOLDEN VHS CHAMPS at Hitch! Congrats to them once more, it was a down to the wire finish, and thank you to everyone who came out and made it such a fun time on the east-end of Toronto!

The CHRISTOPHER HITCHENS CUP is just around the corner, and will take place on the 12th and 26th of September! We'll celebrate our third anniversary at Hitch, with the Hitchens Cup on the line! We'll also celebrate the 400th edition of Trivia Club in Toronto, on the 12th, and the 75th edition of Trivia Club at Hitch, on the 26th!
