Some roads to the championship on a night of Trivia Club don’t come as any surprise, while others can catch you completely by surprise, and sometimes a night like the one this past Tuesday at The Rec Room Roundhouse for our eighty-sixth event, can have a mix of both the expected and unexpected thanks to an unpredictable Finale!

 Trivia Classic  came to an end with Cookiefaced returning after a week away for their twentieth appearance and the lead after round one! Three points behind the go to first round aces were the M. Night Shaym-Aliens, as Trivia Club’s house team had returned to The Rec Room for more! The Shaym-Aliens had a one point lead on The Questionables, and the first team to Threepeat at The Rec Room was looking to become just the second team to Fourpeat at Trivia Club! In fifth were The Incendios, while Smarty Pints returned and rounded out the Top Five, holding a two and a half point lead on The Wholesome Crew as they did so!

 Game Show Games  then saw The Questionables edge within a point of the lead after grabbing the TOP TEN in Countdown Takedown, Cookiefaced not far behind with eight points, and the M. Night Shaym-Aliens with six points! The M. Night Shyam-Aliens were left pointless in Survey Says however, losing second place further, though Cookiefaced once again grabbed eight points to keep their lead, and The Wholesome Crew added the TOP TEN in our second Game Show Game!

 Tri-Pardo  then saw Cookiefaced roll the first question for thirteen points, while The Incendios rolled the second question for nineteen points, and finally Smarty Pints rolled the third question for TWENTY POINTS, meaning fifty-two points were on the line in the third round! Though Smarty Pints lost nineteen points on the second question, they gained thirty-three from the first and third categories so they were able to add fourteen points to their total! Avoiding the second category were The Questionables, M. Night Shaym-Aliens, and Cookiefaced, who kept their spots in the standings after gaining thirty-three points each, with Cookiefaced holding their six point lead on The Questionables, who had seven points on the M. Night Shaym-Aliens!

This meant that heading into the  Trivia Finale , the night was far from over, and potentially in sensing it with the blind wager… every team went all-in, all except for The Questionables, who were the only team to leave a single point on the line. Wouldn’t you know they would need it too!

With the Finale on this night proving especially tough, every single team was knocked out by the last question, and this meant that not only had they won by a single point, but THE QUESTIONABLES, who were now TWELVE-TIME GOLDEN VHS CHAMPS were now FOURPEAT winners at The Rec Room Roundhouse, matching 2 Fast 2 Curious at The Ace as the only team to accomplish that feat in the more then seven year history of Trivia Club! It’s been an amazing June into July for The Questionables, who have now won a third of their Championship total in consecutive weeks!

Congrats once more to The Questionables, and thank you once again to the field of runners-up at The Rec Room this week! It was a tough and unpredictable event in the Three10 this week and you all did marvelously!
