Trivia Club
returned to The Rec Room Roundhouse on yet another unreal night of weather to
begin 2019, but even if the TDSB was deciding to shut down Toronto schools,
Trivia Club was set to bring knowledge to The Roundhouse, in an all-new location
in the lower area of the Three10 and a slate of familiar faces and brand new
teams were more then ready to take part in the festivities on this Snow Day!
Trivia
Classic came to an end with *Insert Cry For Help Here*, familiar faces to
Trivia Club at The Rec Room, in first place! Just one point behind were
newcomers JC, while the couple had a one point advantage on We are smrt
(W.A.S.), otherwise known as Really Makes U Think, who were making a return!
One point behind them in fourth were Suck It Trebek, the Newcomers of the Year Trivial Award winners in 2018! Rounding out the first round Top Five (top five top
five) were The Team With No Name, followed by Just Here For Dinner!
New teams joined
in on Tri-Pardo , with FIERCE and Viper adding to the field of competition!
*Insert Cry For Help Here* rolled the first question for nineteen points, while
JC rolled the second question for nine points, and finally Suck It Trebek
rolled the third question for another nineteen points! Ultimately forty-seven
points were up for grabs! Suck It Trebek would grab thirty-eight of those
points from the first and third questions, while We are smrt (W.A.S.) would hit
for the triple and stack on all forty-seven points! Not far behind were *Insert
Cry For Help Here* and JC who would each add on twenty-eight points, from the first
and second, and second and third questions respectively! Also adding on another
twenty-eight points were newcomers Viper!
So it came
down to the Trivia Finale , and even though the wager was everything from all-in
to five points, and a variety of options in between, it came down to only one
of the teams gaining the upper hand with the correct Finale answer…
That team
would go on to win their SIXTH GOLDEN VHS at The Rec Room, and on their twenty-first
event at the location, yes now winners of more Golden VHS tapes then any other
team at The Roundhouse, our Trivial Award winners for 2018 Newcomers of the
Year… SUCK IT TREBEK!
Congrats to Suck It Trebek once again, and thank you to everyone who came out to play Trivia Club at The Rec Room on our third straight week of wild winter weather!
