It was our fourth edition of Trivia Club at The Ace, and in our return to the lo-fi, high comfort, late night of trivia in Roncesvalles we brought an intimate edition of Toronto's Greatest Game Show to the 'hood, with the rest of Toronto hunkered down and enjoying a host of important hockey, basketball, baseball, and even soccer football games! While those battles raged from Mexico to the North Atlantic, and everywhere in between, we also brought together a wonderful mix of returning Champions, and neighbourhood regulars ready for battle!

 Trivia Classic  ended with Chillasaurus alumni, James Franco's Squinty Eyes, with a one point lead on The Simple Minds, making their fourth consecutive appearance at The Ace! Just five points behind The Simple Minds were Trivial Knowledge, making their return to The Ace!  Game Show Games  saw James Franco's Squinty Eyes grab the first TOP TEN in Countdown Takedown, while Trivial Knowledge took eight points, and Simple Minds nabbed six points. The Simple Minds once again grabbed six points in Survey Says, while James Franco's Squinty Eyes got four points, and Trivial Knowledge grabbed another eight, for the most points in Survey Says from the field! Combo Breakdown then closed out Game Show Games, with James Franco's Squinty Eyes outlasting the competition for EIGHT POINTS as the last team standing!

This then brought us to the third round,  Tri-Pardo , with The Simple Minds rolling the first category for a single point! Trivial Knowledge rolled the second category for nineteen points, and James Franco's Squinty Eyes rolled the third category for sixteen points! This meant that their was a huge point disparity between the first and second questions, and everything together meant that thirty-six points on the line! James Franco's Squinty Eyes had a ten point lead on the competition, while Trivial Knowledge were just one point behind The Simple Minds in third. That would be as close as they would get however, because The Simple Minds would hit for the triple, and gain thirty-six points! Gaining thirty-five points, even without a guess on the first question, were James Franco's Squinty Eyes, keeping their lead at nine points!

In the  Finale  then, it was a matter of potentially learning along the way! Having not gotten a Finale question incorrect yet, and having lost at our last event at The Ace on the weight of a wager, The Simple Minds went all in except for one point! Trivial Knowledge went all in, though they senses that without any point gained in round three, the win was out of reach! Still, finishing the game is its own reward (spoiler alert, they still got candy), and James Franco's Squinty Eyes, even with a nine point lead on the field hadn't been witness to the Cunning Stunts stunning come from behind win two weeks prior, only wagered ten points! This idea was potentially for the best, as they lost the points on the last question, but still finished as runners-up with sixty-nine points! Three points behind Franco's Squinty Eyes in third, with sixty-six points were Trivial Knowledge, with a personal victory of a correct Finale answer.

Also with the correct answer in the Finale, and finishing the night with a new personal best high score, and the new HIGH SCORE at THE ACE... with their SECOND Golden VHS... THE SIMPLE MINDS!
