Oh what fun we'll have! Even within it's crystallised form of head-to-head competition on this intimate night in the east-end, it was a pleasure to see just where competition would take us between the house team at Hitch in the Fighting Mongooses, making their twentieth appearance as Trivial Award winners for Newcomers of the Year for 2017, and a first-time team in Premature Quizz, a game group of friends and excellent audience members brought to Hitch by posters in the neighbourhood (advertising works)!

With an early lead in Trivia Classic, the Fighting Mongooses followed it up with the first TOP TEN in round two, before Premature Quizz followed it up with a TOP TEN in the next Game Show Game! Premature Quizz finally gained additional ground in Combo Breakdown as the last team standing, with an additional seven points! Tri-Pardo then brought forward a first question rolled for three points, and a second question rolled for two points, before finishing things off with a third question worth twelve points... making the night's third round of seventeen points the lowest point total ever in a Tri-Pardo!

Then in the Finale, Premature Quizz went all-in save for two on the last question... while the Fighting Mongooses left forty-five points on board. It was a brave choice after a night in the lead, but the Mongooses have been here before, and had rarely found advantage in the Finale...

The gambit paid off, as the Finale brought down the field, but the FIGHTING MONGOOSES were left standing to win their SIXTH GOLDEN VHS, and third in five weeks!
