 O ur second week back in the east end of Toronto, was also the night where the Good (nay, Phenomenal) Folks from Laramie Cigarettes were looking to become just the fifth team to THREEPEAT at Trivia Club, and the first team to do so TWICE! Not bad, for just one man (and his friends along the way). Still, they had as fierce a field as ever to contend with! Between old rivals and newcomers, and a Cardinal Rule team making their first appearance at Trivia Club away from the Original Home of... it really was a night where any one could bring home The Mother of All Golden VHS!

 Trivia Classic  saw a tightened field with not one but three separate ties in the scores! At the top of the board, newcomers The Questionables were all tied up with the bar team themselves, Wookiee of the Year! In third, only three and a half points behind and tied up as well, were repeat Champs the Phenomenal Folks from Laramie Cigarettes... and making their debut at Hitch, all-timers from Cardinal Rule, Trivial Knowledge! Four points behind that pair of teams, rounding out a tight five, were Hitch regulars The Fighting Mongooses and Hitch originals The Man with the Candy! Finally, rounding out this field of seven teams were Vino Venus!

 Game Show Games  followed this up, with Countdown Takedown giving the TOP TEN to The Fighting Mongooses (Solo Edition), while Trivial Knowledge picked up eight points, and Vino Venus grabbed six points. The Man with the Candy then grabbed the TOP TEN in Survey Says, while Wookiee of the Year picked up eight points, Vino Venus got another six points to their name, the Fighting Mongooses picked up another four points, and Trivial Knowledge grabbed a couple of good points. Finally in Combo Breakdown, it shook out that The Questionables gained NINE POINTS as the last team standing, on their first night of Trivia Club!

With the field no further apart after Game Show Games,  Tri-Pardo  could only prove to complicate matters further! Round three saw Trivial Knowledge, and specifically Rob, make their first roll away from home for two points on the first question. Vino Venus rolled fifteen points for the second question. Finally the Fighting Mongooses, usually aces on the roll, could only notch eight points on the third roll! With questions proving tough, only three teams didn't lose at least two points! The Phenomenal Folks, Man with the Candy, and The Questionables all gained six points heading into the last question!

So with the  Finale  in front of them, The Questionables had gained the lead, and The Man with the Candy had fought their way to second place! Not far behind were the Fighting Mongooses in third, Trivial Knowledge in fourth one point behind the solo edition, with Laramie Cigarettes just one point behind the Knowledge! On tonight, once wagers were locked in, and with the field as tight as it was... any number of things were still possible, but for The Phenomenal Folks to threepeat, a whole lot had to go in their favor. For newcomers The Questionables, without question, all they had to do was answer one last question correctly.

It proved a sticky Finale as well, as every team could not quite find the right word to word it with... every team but two. The Phenomenal Folks from Laramie Cigarettes finished as the runners-up! One team away from a truly unprecedented start to 2018, but that one team were going to make their first time at Trivia Club at night to remember!

 ACHIEVEMENT UNLOCKED:  FIRST AND GOLD!

Winning the GOLDEN VHS of Hot Shots, with 64.5 points, unable to be caught in the end, were THE QUESTIONABLES!
