 I t was the second fall of the Two out of Three Fall Classic for the Christopher Hitchens Cup in celebration of our fourth year at Hitch, and our first consecutive week at your Friendly Neighborhood Leslieville location! Just when you thought it would be a battle down to the wire between the newcomers and immediate Champions in the Fighting Mongooses and the long-time Hitch House Team of the Good Folks from Laramie Cigarettes... the Trivia Club House Team were making their 16th appearance at Hitch! You can't sleep on the M. Night Shaym-Aliens, especially since they are the wokest team in all of Trivia Club! #staywoke

Trivia Classic had the Fighting Mongooses leading after the first round of questions, with a four point lead on the M. Night Shaym-Aliens who were making their first appearance on the East End since the Grand Championship Grand Prix in April! In third were the Good Folks from Laramie Cigarettes, looking to defend their Golden VHS victory from the week before! Wookiee of the Year were a point behind Laramie in fourth, while first time players but long-time regulars of Hitch, Hiltz vs Everybody were in fifth! Rounding out the field were Summer Camp Rocks!

Game Show Games brought a few interesting swings on the scores, bringing everyone more even. Wookiee of the Year grabbed the TOP TEN in Countdown Takedown, while the Fighting Mongooses notched eight points, the M. Night Shaym-Aliens grabbed six and the Good Folks from Laramie Cigarettes notched four points! Survey Says then had Hiltz vs Everybody grab the TOP TEN, and the Fighting Mongooses notched another eight points, the Good Folks grabbed six, while M Night grabbed two points! With the most points on the night, and in Game Show Games up to that point... the Mongooses weren't done yet, proving to be the last team standing in Combo Breakdown, seeing the Good Folks fall last... awarding the two-time Golden VHS Champs grab ELEVEN POINTS!

Tri-Pardo, on this night in the midst of annual championship glory, was appropriately super-sized! For only the second time ever, FIFTY-EIGHT POINTS were up for grabs! The eighteen points rolled by the Good Folks in the first category, the twenty points rolled by Hiltz vs Everybody in the second category, and the additional twenty points rolled by the Fighting Mongooses in the third category, surpasses the most points ever available during Tri-Pardo at Hitch, a new record set only last week with fifty-seven points! This marks the second time however that fifty-eight points have been on the board for the M. Night Shaym-Aliens, as they were also at Cardinal Rule on May 31st when fifty-eight points was also on the board!

Leave it to the M. Night Shaym-Aliens to set a new record then, by hitting a triple and gaining those FIFTY-EIGHT POINTS in round three, setting a new record to top the one notched by Last Place Team (who grabbed fifty-six points) just five days ago! With that stellar third round, the M. Night Shaym-Aliens had grabbed the lead for the first time on the night! The Fighting Mongooses had in fact slipped to third, losing eighteen points on the first question, while the Good Folks from Laramie Cigarettes grabbed twenty points and the second place spot before the Finale!

Heading into the Finale, things were looking quite different now, not only for the night's Golden VHS... but also in the race for the Christopher Hitchens Cup after two out of three Fall Classic events! Wookiee of the Year went all in and missed on the last question, leaving them with zero points going forward to add to their 22.5 points from last week! The Fighting Mongooses gained half a point, giving them an additional thirty-nine points, leaving them with one-hundred and twenty-eight points total so far! This leaves the newest regulars at Hitch in third place for the Cup, because in first place for the Cup... and runners-up on the night, were the Good Folks from Laramie Cigarettes, who with 108 on this night, now had 198.5 points overall!

Not to far behind however, suddenly in second place for the Hitchens Cup with one fall night to still put points on the board, with 142.5 points... winning their FOURTH GOLDEN VHS at Hitch and their TWENTY-FIRST GOLDEN VHS Championship overall... the M. NIGHT SHAYM-ALIENS! #staywoke
