With the sweet 16th edition of Trivia Club at Farside we returned after a month away from our Friendly Neighborhood VHS haven to bring you the latest of the Greatest Game Show in Toronto! We saw returning faces, new teams, and a fight to the finish to see who would walk away with the Gold!

 Trivia Classic , our first round of trivia goodness, ended with the M. Night Shaym-Aliens in the lead! These Shaym-All-Timers at Farside were looking for their sixth consecutive appearance at the location with a Golden VHS victory and had a four point lead on their nearest competitors, an all new mix of David Bowie's Corporate Whores! It was a familiar Marc W. captaining a team of Farside regulars looking for their first win of 2018! Three points behind DB's CW were the Fighting Mongooses, returning to defend their first Golden VHS victory at our second east-end location! In fourth place after the first was Assistant to the Regional Manager, which included some familiar Hitch alumni in The Man with the Candy, and rounding out the Top Five (top five, top five) were Salty Dawgz! Five points behind them in sixth were Kloot Zak who were tied with Please Clap, with Quiz Knights close behind, and Team JT and Mr. Kate and Joey rounding out the field!

 Game Show Games  then had the second round start off as it always does with Team JT grabbing the TOP TEN in Countdown Takedown, while the M. Night Shaym-Aliens nabbed eight points! Survey Says saw a much better points spread as two questions were needed, and both Quiz Knights and the Assistant to the Regional Manager grabbed TOP TENS while only Mr. Kate and Joey and David Bowie's Corporate Whores were left pointless! Finally in a tough Combo Breakdown, it came down to Quiz Knights and Team Mr. Kate and Joey, with Quiz Knights winning the Breakdown, but failing to double up on the Combo... leaving them with TWO POINTS for their trouble!

 Tri-Pardo  was then all the more important as the field below the M. Night Shaym-Aliens had grown even tighter and closer to those Shaym-Aliens who still found a way to hold onto the lead! Twenty-eight points were rolled in round three, with Mr. Kate and Joey choosing the first question and rolling for two, while Please Clap chose the second question and David Bowie's Corporate Whores chose the third question, and the teams both rolled for thirteen points! In the third round both David Bowie's Corporate Whores and the M. Night Shaym-Aliens would hit the triple and gain twenty-eight points! This would solidify the lead for the Shaym-Aliens and bring David Bowie's Corporate Whores within two points of the Fighting Mongooses for the second place spot! The Mongooses would grab twenty-six points in the third round, forgoing the first question, while Team JT and Please Clap would gain twenty-four points after answering the first question incorrectly but gaining points off the second and third questions!

Though the M. Night Shaym-Aliens had a twelve point lead heading into the  Trivia Finale , the next four teams had only seven points separating them, establishing a feeling that really anything could happen as long as those Shaym-Aliens allowed it! With the Quiz Knights selecting the Finale question it proved tricky enough that, like the night before at The Rec Room, only one team would get it correct! On this night though their would be no tie! The Assistant to the Regional Manager would finish as runners-up...

Winning their TWENTIETH GOLDEN VHS, and first at Farside... and making one for two appearances in 2018... DAVID BOWIE'S CORPORATE WHORES! Even with an all-new look, DB's CW found a way to slip past the two teams in front of them and the one team tied with them to take the win at their fourth Trivia Club location! They are now not only the fourth team to win a Golden VHS at four or more Trivia Club locations, along with Cunning Stunts, M. Night Shaym-Aliens, PETE!, and also several of The Electric Bastards as either the Electric and/or Bastards combination of the two, but they are now also the fourth active TRIPLE CROWN CHAMPS!
