It was an unpredictable night of trivia fun at our Home Away of Hitch just one month away from our FIFTH anniversary celebration of Trivia Club on the east-end of Toronto, while also being the 130th edition of Trivia Club at Hitch which now matches Hitch with Lou Dawgs for second-most events at a Trivia Club location to go along with Hitch's nearly five-year legacy, a number only surpassed by Cardinal Rule!

 Trivia Classic  saw REO Speedealer returning after our three weeks away to lead the field, with specifically a three point lead on their burgeoning rivals by association in the Hitch house team the Fighting Mongooses! The Mongooses held five and a half points on the next closest team, the man behind the bar, The Way the Wookiee Wrumbles! The Sinking Ship also returned on this night, for their third solo appearance, rounding out the field with just over half of the points from our night's leaders!

 Game Show Games  saw everyone being left pointless by Countdown Takedown, while the Fighting Mongooses gained the point lead in Survey Says with the TOP TEN while REO Speedealer still took six points! The Sinking Ship added eight points, while The Way the Wookiee Wrumbles nabbed two points! Wookiee would bounce back with a THREE POINT swing in Combo Breakdown, outlasting REO Speedealer as the only other team to get Combo points in this tough Game Show round two!

 Tri-Pardo  then followed through on a tough second round, to truly test the field in round three! Tied at first were the Fighting Mongooses and REO Speedealer but both teams lost twenty-four points on the first and third questions, which were rolled were seven and seventeen by the Fighting Mongooses and REO Speedealer respectively! The Sinking Ship actually were the only team to gain points, and he took NINE POINTS on the anagram question that he himself chose! This meant that heading into the Finale, it was The Sinking Ship that had grabbed themselves the lead, with The Way the Wookiee Wrumbles just two and a half points behind!

The  Trivia Finale  on this night proved simpler by chance, then the two rounds before it, which meant that in wagering everything by one point was the right choice for THE SINKING SHIP... who won their FIRST GOLDEN VHS Championship in their third solo attempt, having finished in third and then second place the first two times out!

Then remember in SEPTEMBER will be the FIFTH ANNUAL CHRISTOPHER HITCHENS CUP!
