 W e were joined by a host of new faces at Lou Dawg's this past Tuesday, as the calendar turned towards the second to last month of 2016! It was PETE! against an unfamiliar assortment, with two folks making their second appearance at Trivia Club, but the crowd otherwise new to the Greatest Game Show in Toronto! How did all play out, you might ask?

After the first round, it was You Should Have Heard Our First Name in the lead! Admittedly, you won't hear their first name... because the name you see was an admittedly clever turn on an unprecedented event in which our host rejected a team name for the very first time. The thing with team names of course, if that we've always looked to build a community of competitive, like-minded individuals, but ultimately we value a level of respect. Vulgarity is one thing, but shock will never be a substitute for wit! PETE! was in second place after Trivia Classic, a point ahead of newcomers The Three Must-Get-Beers! Two points behind the Three, were a duo by the name of Captain Oatmeal!

Before the crowd could get comfortable, it was You Show Have Heard Our First Name with the first TOP TEN of our Countdown Takedown Game Show Game! PETE! then grabbed the TOP TEN of Survey Says! This was followed by a reverse order of points from the first game! Then in C-C-Combo Breakdown we saw Captain Oatmeal fall first, followed by the Three Must-Get-Beers who added one point to their total, before it was PETE! who outlasted Our First Name for a solid TEN POINT TOTAL!

This gave PETE! a one point lead on his closest competition, a team who consisted by the B Sharps from a couple of weeks ago, and who were looking to win their first Golden VHS with a little help from their friends! In Tri-Pardo, PETE! grabbed twenty points, as did Captain Oatmeal, while the Three Must-Get-Beers lost a fifteen point swing... and You Show Have Heard Our First Name returned to the top of the crowd with a thirty point swing in the standings! This was followed by a dramatic Finale that saw PETE! leave only a single point on the board, while Our First Name put twenty points on the line! And so it came down to the Finale question...

Which everyone got incorrect, which gave YOU SHOULD HAVE HEARD OUR FIRST NAME their FIRST GOLDEN VHS! Well done to them, those First Namers, and thank you to everyone who came out to compete at Lou Dawg's!
