 I f you wanted to know just how competitive the crowd is at Cardinal Rule, these day, look no further to the seven points separating the first through fifth teams, and the two and a half points between first and fourth after Trivia Classic!

Yes, at Cardinal Rule, we have come to expect quite the competitive field of teams! It really could be anyones night at the Original Home of the Greatest Game Show in Toronto! After round one of Trivia Classic, it was a tie atop the leader board with Last Place Team and the Vart Smaginas two points ahead of the M. Night Shaym-Aliens! The Shaym-Aliens were themselves, just half a point ahead of Team Name! Four and a half points behind Team Name were Trivial Knowledge, who were themselves three and a half points ahead of newcomers Team Bye, Bye, Bye! We were also joined by Mothers & Daughters, but they did not join us for more trivia after round one!

Countdown Takedown started off Game Show Games with a TOP TEN for Vart Smaginas, while Team Name picked up eight points, and Trivial Knowledge were able to pick up six! Survey Says then saw eeeveryone pick up points, with Trivial Knowledge grabbing the TOP TEN! Last Place Team picked up eight, while the Vart Smaginas picked up six, the M. Night Shaym-Aliens grabbed two, and Team Name were able to find the ellusive four point question! Team Bye, Bye, Bye then got a new question and EIGHT POINTS for their troubles! There luck wasn't running out their, because C-C-Combo Breakdown came down to Team Bye, Bye, Bye and Last Place Team... with a misread on a long legacy of films seeing Last Place Team eliminated with five points still to their names, and FIFTEEN POINTS to the newcomers Team Bye, Bye, Bye!

Tri-Pardo then saw a variety of outcomes on a tough trio of questions, as the Last Place Team regained the lead position with a twenty-five point swing, bringing the team to sixty-nine points! Twenty-five points swung the other way for the M. Night Shaym-Aliens, bringing them down to nine points! Team Bye, Bye, Bye lost five points, while Trivial Knowledge and Team Name both gained ten points! The Vart Smaginas held pat, neither gaining nor losing any points in Tri-Pardo!

The Finale then led to an unpredictable ending, as it was a tough question that left no answer correct! Most everyone went all in, save for the M. Night Shaym-Aliens who bet only one point of their nine... and they finished as runners-up as a result! As a result too it broke their streak of a Golden VHS each month since May! As a result it also became the fourth Golden VHS in ten weeks for the team that took twenty-one weeks to win their first Golden VHS...
With eleven points, it was the LAST PLACE TEAM with their FOURTH GOLDEN VHS CHAMPIONSHIP! Congrats for holding on, Last Place Team! Thank you to all the excellent competitors out Wednesday night, as well! We'll see you all again NEXT WEDNESDAY for the first Trivia Club of October!
