Minding the P’s and Q’s of SNL
PROBLEMATIC: Though they didn’t go too in-depth with their analysis (it is Uproxx), we here at Trivia Club were usurped by the TV folks over at Uproxx when it came to looking back at co-hosted editions of Saturday Night Live. Enjoy their look back!
PROBLEMATIC: It may be my bias towards lost points, for the Fantasy League, but this was the second episode in a row that a former cast member and not a current cast member, said “LIVE FROM NEW YORK…!”! Now maybe it’s to reestablish the importance of the moment for cast members more then anything, and at least this week it involved someone that worked in the building (while also showing just how far Taran’s Trump has to go to measure up to Hammond), but it always feels more exciting when a cast member gets the chance to scream those immortal words.
QUALITY: Jumping ahead to the goodnights, and “Santa Clause Is Coming To Town” (PLUS SIR PAUL)! Not only did everyone who chose the song get points, because I’m in a giving mood as the Commish, but damn if the excitement and revelry isn’t in the air with moments such as those! A lot of people suspected the E Street Band wouldn’t be able to hold themselves at two songs… but I think Vanessa Bayer symbolized the joy most appropriately.
