It was an up and down, back and forth, topsy-turvy night of Trivia Club at The Rec Room Roundhouse with the lead shifting after each and every round and all those in attendance involved in the result until the very last the question. In the end, not only game theory, but also trivia knowledge meant the winning result for our ninety-third event!

 Trivia Classic  came to an end with The Questionables in the lead and with the first pick of sweet prizes! The Roundhouse’s house team had a two point advantage on fellow regular faces in Toronto, the team who have in face made more appearances then any other at Trivia Club so far in 2019, Cookiefaced! For the first time as well, Cookiefaced had an opportunity at a threepeat, a rare opportunity indeed! Two points behind Cookiefaced were newcomers, Team Ace! Tied for fourth place, to round out the Top Five (top five top five) were And-I-Oop, and It’s over. It’s all over. (which as you might guess is the returning Dead on the Inside!), followed by Fluffy Bunnies United just three points outside of the two-team fourth place spot, and International rounding out the field!

Countdown Takedown began our second round of  Game Show Games , with Fully Bunnies United vaulting into contention with the TOP TEN, while all other teams were left pointless (even though some others came veeeery close)! Fluffy Bunnies United then took the lead with another TOP TEN in Survey Says, although Cookiefaced were just one point behind with an eight-point answer. Picking up four points were International, while Team Ace took a couple of good points for themselves!

 Tri-Pardo  then had Fluffy Bunnies United roll six points for the first question, while Team Ace rolled fifteen points for the second question, and It’s over. It’s all over. rolled nineteen points for the third question, meaning our round three categories added up to a solid forty points up for grabs! Hitting for the triple and grabbing forty points were Team Ace, who jumped into second place before the Finale, as Cookiefaced was able to answer the second and third questions correctly and take the lead by two points, for the first time on the night! That threepeat was within reach! Also grabbing thirty-four points from the second and third were It’s over. It’s all over. Though he had gained ground, Dead on the Inside was still one point behind The Questionables who had picked up twenty-five points in round three, from the first and third questions, while Fluffy Bunnies United were just five points off the lead after answering the second and third questions correctly but the first question incorrectly!

This meant that two things were of the utmost importance heading into the  Trivia Finale , the right kind of blind wager and the correct answer… and that answer eluded Cookiefaced! Instead of winning that Threepeat and joining a select group, they would join a no less prestigious group of Trivia Club teams who repeated as Champs but did not threepeat! Answering correctly but only wagering nine points on the Finale was It’s over. It’s all over. who would finish in fourth, as also answering correctly but only wagering thirty and ten points respectively were Fluffy Bunnies United and Team Ace… finishing on the night as runners-up and in third place!

This meant that shifting from fourth to first on the Finale question, even with two of those three teams ahead of them also answering correctly, were our now FOURTEEN-time GOLDEN VHS CHAMPS at The Rec Room… THE QUESTIONABLES! With everything working in their favor by the end of the night, they finished with 114 points!
