It was a birthday week celebration, as well as a Monday return for our long-time competitors to our longest-running current location of Hitch! For the 147th edition of Trivia Club we would see if any number of returning competitors might take home their first, second, fifteenth, or eighteenth Golden VHS!

 Trivia Classic  came to an end with the Fighting Mongooses, our returning Champs at their home at Hitch, with the lead on the field! On their forty-second consecutive appearance they held a five-point advantage on the closest team, the Good Folks from Laramie Cigarettes! One of the winningest solo players in Trivia Club history, the Good Folks had a two-point lead on The Sinking Ship! Though Patrick of the Ship usually played solo as well, he would be joined on the night by a rotating cast of team members for his birthday celebration! They helped raise him a half a point ahead of the returning $5.99 with the purchase of any sandwich, who were making their second appearance at Trivia Club, and they held a point and a half lead of their own over the fifth place team rounding out the field who were also making their second appearance, Fruity Pebbles!

 Game Show Games  then saw everyone win points on Box Office Bullseye, with Fruity Pebbles the closest to the potential bullseye with a five-point answer, while everyone else gained two points (though $5.99 were .6 away from five points as well)! Survey Says then saw The Sinking Ship left pointless on the game, while Fruity Pebbles picked up the TOP TEN, and the Fighting Mongooses grabbed eight points! The Fighting Mongooses once again nabbed eight points in Countdown Takedown, while the Good Folks from Laramie Cigarettes grabbed the TOP TEN with a spot-on answer!

 Tri-Pardo  categories were then selected as we jumped right into the third round! $5.99 with the purchase of any sandwich rolled the first question for sixteen points, while Fruity Pebbles rolled the second question for eleven points, and finally the Fighting Mongooses rolled the third question for sixteen points! This meant that forty-three points were on the line! Hitting for the triple and gaining all forty-three points by sweeping the round were the Fighting Mongooses and The Sinking Ship! This of course kept the Fighting Mongooses in the lead, but had The Sinking Ship not too far behind! When wagering, the Fighting Mongooses left eleven of their points behind (but then they could), while The Sinking Ship went all-in save for a single point!

Just when it looked like the Fighting Mongooses would repeat however, they were not one of the two teams who answered the  Trivia Finale  correctly! Instead they fell to fourth place to end the night, while the Good Folks from Laramie Cigarettes shifted into the runner-up spot on the night, and winning their SECOND GOLDEN VHS just hours before their actual birthday, while surrounded by friends, was THE SINKING SHIP!
