at The Rec Room: Glenn Closest Without Going Over, 2019 RED CARPET TRIVIA CHAMPS
February 25, 2019
Red Carpet Oscar Trivia at The Rec Room Roundhouse returned in 2019 with a format with almost as many changes as Oscar night itself! Luckily we actually found a host though, in Trivia Club's Russel Harder!
Red Carpet Trivia , and the first $50 gift card of the night was won on the night by Glenn Closest Without Going Over! Unlike Glenn Close they indeed got over, with 29 points! Featuring a team made up of not only former Golden VHS winners, but also last year's winners, it was just the start to a successful night for the team! Finishing in second, just five points back, were The Favorites! Two points behind them in third were No Consensus, followed closely by Can You Ever Forgive Us? the team of M. Night Shaym-Aliens, who were themselves a point ahead of two tied teams in fifth with 20 points, Jack & Rose, and 2 Blondes, 2 Gays, & A Brazilian!
Speaking of those two teams tying in Trivia, a member from each team would go on to win The Rec Room Oscar Picks Pool ! Will of 2 Blondes, 2 Gays, & A Brazilian, and David of Jack & Rose, would each get 15 picks correct and each would themselves win a $50 gift card! Congratulations guys! David would in fact tie things up by correctly guessing the Best Picture winner at the end of the night!
Rounding out the field on the night were Not Dressed Up Just Messed Up, The Rec Room regulars! They were followed by Siblings, and then Karma Knights! Later in the night, not only would Glenn Closest Without Going Over get the closest without going over on a Countdown Takedown, they would out guess No Consensus, and correctly guess all but one of the Either/Or Award Show Games !
Congratulations once more to Glenn Closest Without Going Over, and thank you to everyone who came out to enjoy the Oscars at The Rec Room in comfort and style! We'll see you all again in 2020 for another edition of the Academy Awards, and of course even more trivia goodness each and every Tuesday at The Rec Room!
