Saturday Night Live Fantasy League: Episode 44x06: Steve Carell & Ella Mai

November 19, 2018

Saturday Night Live Fantasy League presented by Trivia Club, is a Fantasy League like no other. Like Fantasy Football for the comedy nerd, participants draft cast members and prospective hosts before the start of the season and then are awarded points based of their performance through a scoring system. For additional points, before the start of each episode participants can guess which two songs they think the musical guest will perform. Since the beginning, this television institution has become the first step in the major leagues of comedy stardom, and with over forty seasons of familiar traditions, we’ve found a way to add maths to comedy and somehow make that a fun game to play.

Here’s the points breakdown for our Fantasy League of Saturday Night Live episode six of Season 44, which originally aired on November 17, 2018.

Thank you to Sarah R. for this episode’s points breakdown! This past Saturday’s Steve Carell hosted episode of SNL suffered due to high expectations that came with a decade away from your second favorite Steve hosting an episode of Saturday Night Live! Still, the NASA sketch proved a twisted classic, and the Amazon Sick Burn sketch at the very least proved just have far Lorne will go with sponsored content. I’m not asking them to slow down on making fun of Trump, but giving the hero spot to former Taco Bell spokes person and currently swole Lex Luthor, Jeff Bezos, is a really weird look.

An episode after Kyle Mooney was picked up by two teams, he did what they may have feared most and did not participate. A cruel move, especially after a hot start to Season 44 that helped us all forget about this down year in Season 43. To put this DNP into perspective, Kyle Mooney was producing the third amount of points per episode, this side of Kate McKinnon and tabloid comedian Pete Davidson, and with one episode dropped to six out of ten amongst the Rep Cast.

As noted in the last breakdown, Matthew S. currently drafted our host for December 1st, Claire Foy! She will be joined by musical guest Anderson Paak!

LAST EPISODE: LEIV SCHRIEBER

NEXT EPISODE: CLAIRE FOY

Matt Smith is obviously very pleased.
