After the first round of Trivia Classic, in this All-Star game/Awards show/holiday party rolled all into one it was Last Place Team with the lead! Just half a point behind them were the reunited Electric Bastards (also featuring PETE!, for an extra pow), while just a half point behind them were the Cunning Stunts! This made for the rare time, fitting on this night were just a single point separated the top threeee teams! Seven points behind in fourth place were Team Name, with the M. Night Shaym-Aliens just four points behind them in fifth. A half point behind the Shaym-Aliens were Lt. Dance in fifth, making just there third appearance at Cardinal Rule (having won their first two times out to the Original Home of Trivia Club), with We Still Don't Know WTF We Are Doing rounding out the field in seventh!

Game Show Games began with a Countdown Takedown that saw Last Place, after a dramatic deliberation, grab the TOP TEN, while Lt. Dance, We Still Don't Know, and the Shaym-Aliens also gained points! Then in Survey Says it was the M. Night Shaym-Aliens with the TOP TEN, with the Cunning Stunts being the sole team to lose out on points, meaning a SECOND TOP TEN went to the Electric Bastards! An unpredictable C-C-Combo Breakdown then took place, a familiar subject with an unpredictable twist, saw the M Night Shaym-Aliens and Electric Bastards both eliminated in the first go around, while Team Name and We Still Don't Know WTF each gained one point! Lt. Dance grabbed two points, which brought it to Last Place Team and the Cunning Stunts… with the Stunts making sure they didn't exit the Game Show Games without points, ending things as the last team standing for THIRTEEN POINTS!

Tri-Pardo held as great import as it ever has, as FOUR of the teams hit for the triple, with the difference in the points available saw the M Night Shaym-Aliens not gain any points, while Lt. Dance gained thirty points! This left not just one team but two, Last Place Team and the Cunning Stunts, with a chance to score over 200 points! And the Electric Bastards had given themselves a chance to get within 3 points of that Bicentennial Mark as well! Even Team Name and Lt. Dance were within range of crossing our notorious Sesquicentennial Mark, if not within range to catch up to the top of the field!

In the Finale for our inaugural Trivial Awards, the penultimate Trivia Club at Cardinal Rule for 2016, all teams wagered in there best interest to cross these barriers, more points then ever before were on the line… and more points then ever before, were lost! Yes, in an unexpected twist the Finale knocked out every team… every Trivial Award winner finished with fewer points then they would like, save for one.

The ELECTRIC BASTARDS won the Golden VHS and our first annual Trivial Awards, finishing the night with 197 points! No small feat, though not a personal best for either the Electric Mayhem part of the team, nor The Bastards! It was the 48th Golden VHS won by PETE! as a participant however! In an added twist, the M. Night Shaym-Aliens also finished as surprise runner-up, the 14th time they've done so in 2016, cementing their status as First Runner-Up!

Congrats once more to the Electric Bastards, and thank you so very much to all the wonderful teams and participants that came out to compete at Trivia Club this Wednesday, while also celebrating not just this year of Trivia Club but the last four years! It was the perfect holiday party, and also so wonderful to see such a great community of people, some quite sharply dressed, and some even in bow-ties! Yes!
