After the first round of Trivia Classic, it was in fact our returning Golden VHS Champs, the Last Place Team in first! They owned a half point lead over The ||||||| Redacted, with the Vart Smaginas only three points behind The |||||||| Redacted in third. One point behind the Smaginas were the M. Night Shaym-Aliens! Three and a half point behind our always fun Shaym-Aliens were the ever chant-able Team Name (Team Name, Team NAME, TEAM NAME!) rounding out an on point field of competition!

Game Show Games then gave us an unprecedented beginning, as the confidence in Team Name's answer not only gave one team, or two teams the top score, but ALL FIVE TEAMS gained the TOP TEN in Countdown Takedown! Even though the question was misheard, confidence was key as all teams locked in on the answer and the rising tide raised every team! Survey Says, of course, proved less democratic as it was the Vart Smaginas grabbing the TOP TEN answer, with Last Place Team grabbing eight points, while the M. Night Shaym-Aliens gained four, and The |||||| Redacted procured two points for their troubles! Unfortunately, Team Name missed out on points, and right after giving every other team a good chance for points too! This then locked us into a competitive back and forth in Combo Breakdown, as Team Name, and the M. Night Shaym-Aliens were first to fall, before the Vart Smaginas were taken out by a classic case of coulda shoulda! Finally, it was The ||||||| Redacted who were the last team standing over the Last Place Team, grabbing THIRTEEN POINTS for their trouble! 

Then came a tricky Tri-Pardo, which did not necessarily break any teams but certainly stretched their chances one way or another! Last Place Team were unable to grab any points, and thus fell away from first place, while Team Name grabbed five points to make up for a tricky round two, and the M. Night Shaym-Aliens, Vart Smaginas, and The ||||||||| Redacted all gained fifteen points, to round them into third, second, and first respectively... before the Finale! Potentially sensing their middle of the pack standing, the Shaym-Aliens wagered safely and only put one point up for grabs, while the remaining members of the field went slightly more pedal to the metal! On this night, the race was the thing... as The |||||| Redacted used it's momentum from the first two rounds and a tough third round, to gain the upper hand!

Yes, THE |||||||||||| REDACTED could not be caught, on their return from a summer on The Fringe, and walked out of Wednesday with their EIGHTH GOLDEN VHS! While they did so, the Vart Smaginas finished as runners-up (not bad for their second time out as a team, and at a new location!), while the Last Place Team finished in third and became the 15th team in the history of Trivia Club (and 9th at Cardinal Rule, now with more points then SPARTACUS) to reach the 1,000 point plateau!

So congratulations to The |||||||||| Redacted, always a pleasure, and thank you to all the teams who came out to Cardinal Rule and help to make it just the most fun!
