QUALITY: Andrew Garfield was a solid host in my opinion; he was used in equal shares with Taran Killam and Kenan Thompson it felt like. Which is to say he didn’t outshine the cast but then again he didn’t have to, with two spotlight sketches in the “Amazing Spider-Man Kiss” (you don't realize how big the singer from Coldplay is until he has Spider-Man in his arms), as well as “The Beygency”. So bravo to Garfield, and the writers. Andrew seemed to enjoy himself, and how can he not with a girlfriend like Emma Stone. Speaking of which…
QUALITY: OH HEY, EMMA STONE!
PROBLEMATIC: One bad thing though, did we REALLY need a re-run of a sketch after all that time off? Did the show just go shorter then expected and a time filler was needed? Because… wow, that’s never a good look. I’m happy that it was the Bird Bible, and it’s only happened one other time with eMeth, this season. As was the same with eMeth, no points were given on the rerun sketch.
PROBLEMATIC: So the controversy has to do with Leslie Jones’ Weekend Update bit, and NOT the Donald Sterling cold open? I mean, I’m as big a Bobby Moynihan fan as anyone, so I don’t want him to get any bad heat but, to take a bit from Weekend Update’s past… REALLY?!
PROBLEMATIC: Having moved this past week, and as all moves go, having to deal with the problems that arise from it… things are late (sorry) and truncated, enjoy!
QUALITY: Oh Coldplay… glad to have you back, you anthemic rock professionals.

Stay in the conversation! Trivia Club would LOVE to hear feedback on Saturday Night Live Fantasy so far, either in the blogs comment section, on Trivia Club's facebook page or in our twitter feed. We want to hear from you, as we head into the end of the season and look forward to the next! LISTEN TO THE PODCASTSubscribe to us on iTUNES!

We now know how the rest of the season is going to pan out with Charize Theron hosting in something of a Bruce Willis/Edward Norton spot, which is to say well respected (or at least well known) actor who is known more for the dramatic then for the comedic and has nothing to really promote... but is looking to have some fun, anyway!

As an added bonus we do have an under-reported bit of gamesmanship to look forward to in the penultimate episode of the season, as the VERSUS portion of the Saturday Night Live Fantasy League will crown its own Champion! Yes, with all the chaos of the play-offs, the "favorites" have fallen to a couple of unheralded Cinderella teams, and head-to-head for the Championship will be the seventh and eighth overall in points, FIVE TIMERS CLUB vs SUCK IT TREBEK!

Congrats, and may the best team win!

Speaking of which, congrats to The Ignorant Sluts for drafting Andy Samberg in the Host Prospectus Draft, as Samberg will be hosting the Season 39 finale, the first season of the SNL Fantasy League... and will bring the results of this year's Phil Hartman Trophy down to the wire! Though Million Dollar Bill Murrays has opened a lead, in no small part thanks to a late surge in multi-person "LIVE FROM NEW YORK..."'s, the winner of Season 39 is still anyones guess!

See you next week, as the SNL cast will no doubt fawn and be terrified of Charlize Theron in equal proportions!
