For our 25th edition of Trivia Club at the Friendly Neighborhood Farside, a very special number indeed, we were joined by eight teams even after Toronto had been covered in a proper layer of ice! What better to hand out Hot Wheels and Heavy Metal on VHS! Who would walk away with it? We would have to wait and see!

 Trivia Classic  finished with the M. Night Shaym-Aliens in the lead by a single point! It was Joel's birthday on the night as well! Happy Birthday Joel, we will one day find a home for the Trivia Club sign again! Just a single point behind them, tied for second, were 2 Fast 2 Curious, returning as reigning Champs on their 101st appearance, and REDACTED! These are also a new Redacted, playing for the first time, with the same taste in team names as the legacy team at Cardinal Rule! In fourth were Append-east-itis, also very game newcomers, followed by Meow Meow Team Name Meow rounding out the Top Five (top five top five), half a point away from fourth! In sixth were Cass-leesi, followed by crowd favourites Brewers Yeast Infection, and rounding out the field were the MacDre Appreciation Society!

The field however was far from settled, as  Game Show Games  began with Box Office Bullseye, and getting that TOP TEN Bullseye was not one but two teams... Brewers Yeast Infection and Meow Meow Team Name Meow! Getting five points also were the Append-east-itis, while the MacDre Appreciation Society and 2 Fast 2 Curious also both gained two points in a wildly successful BOB! Survey Says then saw a stumper of a fifth answer, while the Append-east-itis still gained the TOP TEN! The MacDre Appreciation Society notched eight points, while Brewers Yeast Infection and REDACTED gained six and four points respectively! This then brought us to the Countdown Takedown and even though they were new to the game, Append-east-itis used the advantage they had gained to go plus one in the Shaym-Aliens (who had experienced a less then successful round two on this night) and grab another TOP TEN! These twenty-five total points had pushed Append-east-itis into a good lead against an otherwise crowded field heading into round three! In second place, pushing their way up from second last, with an eighteen point round two were Brewers Yeast Infection!

 Tri-Pardo  had the Append-east-itis roll fifteen points on the first question, while Brewers Yeast Infection rolled nine points on the second question, and Meow Meow Team Name Meow rolled another fifteen points for the third question, meaning another thirty-nine points were up for grabs in round three! The biggest gains were the twenty-four points won by both Brewers Yeast Infection and Cass-leesi, though with a fifteen point gain of their own, Append-east-itis still held a three point lead against former Champs Brewers Yeast Infection! With fewer breaks coming the way of either legacy team, both 2 Fast 2 Curious and M. Night Shaym-Aliens were at or near the back of the pack before the Finale. And on Joel's birthday!

Our 25th  Trivia Finale  at Farside saw most every team go all in save for two! The M. Night Shaym-Aliens wagered only three points, having found themselves in eighth on a tough night they were using those veteran wiles and wagering against the field. Append-east-itis were only wagering ten of their sixty however, also wagering against the field, while also opening themselves up to be overtaken by the field on their first night with the Finale lead!

This was exactly what happened, as even though they had the lead and answered the last question correctly, Append-east-itis finished runners-up on the night with 70 points, three points ahead of Meow Meow Team Name Meow! The other team who answered the Finale correctly to double up their points to 86... winning their first GOLDEN VHS... REDACTED!

The Redacted of old would be proud, congrats again on our first and gold champs REDACTED! With the win, REDACTED also now hold the Linear Championship! We'll return to Farside for more Trivia Club in TWO WEEKS on February 20th! See you then!
