Amy Schumer once again proved to be less a powerful host and more a capable cast member, in the scale of the show. This shouldn’t be a surprise, with Inside Amy Schumer being a sketch show and Schumer’s best film to date being opposite an ace SNL alumni in Bill Hader. Some of the more memorable moments in the episode had to do with Mother’s Day. The Day You Were Born was probably the best sketch, and the return of an all mom cold open (though it may have been in the monologue last time) was an always welcome celebration. An additional note on that cold open, Chris Redd’s mom is the funniest.

Next week is the SEASON FINALE, y’all! We will be giving away a few end of the season awards, as well as the Hartman Trophy for the FIFTH TIME, to what looks to be a third different participant! This has certainly been a different season, full of unexpected twists and turns, and some excellent hosts as well. Except a longer breakdown of everything next week, for the Tina Fey hosted finale with musical guest Nicki Minaj! Yours truly, the Billion Dollar Murrays were lucky enough to draft Tina Fey!

LAST EPISODE: DONALD GLOVER

NEXT EPISODE: TINA FEY
