With all the pride in the world from Russel Harder and Trivia Club, our first licensed location debuted on May 23rd, 2018 at  Gin Mill ! Move over the man in the bow-tie, as Trivia Club at Gin Mill is hosted by Anthony Couto, the host in the Late Night with Seth Myers hat. Some of you may know Anthony as one of the members of Lt. Dance, one of the rare Century Teams (teams who have made at least 100 event appearances)! Anthony joins the few people that are not Russel and have hosted Trivia Club! Yes, alongside Matthew Smith of the Electric Bastards, et al, and Mark Piggot and the Cunning Stunts, Anthony brought his two thumbs to the upstairs event space of the recently renovated Gin Mill on Bloor West!

Our inaugural event at 2202 Bloor St West, EPISODE 1: STARTSTRUCK saw not only a number of Lt. Dance alumni join the festivities but also the M. Night Shaym-Aliens! We couldn't have been happier to see Trivia Club's house team out to support our newest location, and first-time licensed location!

In fact all of these fine folks, and more, finished tied for fifth as the M. Night Shaym-Aliens ended the night even at zero with Trivial Pantsuit, Zooboomba Crew, Team Squad, and Team Name (no relation, either to Team Squad or the Team Name of other Trivia Club events)! Finishing in fourth were Tort Or No Tort? with 20 points, while The Quizzly Bears were ahead with 31 points in third place! Ultimately it would be a tale of two teams, Bear buds The Saucy Intruders would finish the first night at Gin Mill as runners-up with 132 points...

The inaugural GOLDEN VHS CHAMPS at our first licensed location, hosted by Anthony, would be DRUG FORD! Not only did these dope dudes bring a nation of domination, they also finished the night with 155 points, meaning the first VHS winners at Gin Mill would also grab the first Sesquicentennial Mark on Bloor West Village as well!

With a mind on collaboration, we're excited to be working with Anthony! After six years of Russel traveling back and forth across Toronto, putting in those Trivia hours, it'll be exciting to have company in the Club house! We can't wait to see where 2018 and beyond takes us! Until NEXT WEDNESDAY at Gin Mill...
