Minding the P’s & Q’s of SNL

PROBLEMATIC: You might have noticed that this is going up on a Friday. And yes, Julia Louis-Dreyfus is hosting tomorrow! What can I say, it’s Grand Championship Grand Prix season and as much as I enjoy our extra curricular fun I can’t not put my all into the FOURTH ANNIVERSARY of Trivia Club as a thing! Wait, let me switch this thing—

QUALITY: Trivia Club, the home of the Saturday Night Live Fantasy League, turned FOUR YEARS OLD on the 13^th of April and thus it took a little longer then usual to get up your points breakdown. What can I say, when we celebrate we go all out.

PROBLEMATIC: Was Russell Crowe a good host? No. But he was a GAME host, seemed to be enjoying his experience, and hell he’ll never have to worry about being the worst host of the season. That’s what Donald Trump is here for. Trump will be the worst host of NEXT SEASON too! Russell Crowe didn’t do a whole lot of different things actually, he was four variations on rough and tumble and then he was finished for the night, but again he was game!

QUALITY: When it came to the two teams that got BOTH Song Choices right for this episode (both of whom are also in the Radner Group), one was the last person to submit Song Choices, and the other was the first to submit Song Choices. And when it came to the songs, Margo Price was a TOUGH ONE this week, with little to no history save for traction on YouTube, a little country radio play, and a boost from Third Man Records.
